Our Staff

Scott Walter is a certified general appraiser licensed in Kansas and Missouri. Scott graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS with a degree in Accounting.  Scott spent the first part of his working career in the petroleum industry in various capacities. Scott started his appraising career appraising residential properties in 2004.  Scott has appraised primarily commercial properties for the past nine years. Scott is a candidate for the MAI designation with only a few requirements remaining. The MAI designation is held by individuals who are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and who advise clients on real estate investment decisions. The Appraisal Institute is a global professional association of real estate appraisers, with nearly 22,000 professionals in almost 60 countries throughout the world. Its mission is to advance professionalism and ethics, global standards, methodologies, and practices through the professional development of property economics worldwide. Scott is active in his church and enjoys most sports including Kansas City Royals baseball, KU basketball, and golf.

Elaine Walter is office manager for Walter Appraisal. Elaine graduated from Hutchinson Community College with a degree in Office Administration.   She has had several administrative positions in her working career.   Most recently she worked for the past nine years in the office at Spring Hill Elementary School in Spring Hill KS. Elaine also enjoys being a mom and a grandmother to their three grown children and three grandchildren.
